At Freedom of Movement we have a simple ethos: No Borders. Each individual has an inalienable right to determine the fluid path of their own existence and define themselves irrespective of whatever societies' or governments' norms may be at any given moment

This means we... 

• Fully support Gay & Trans rights

• Resist colonialism both abroad and at home: including opposing genocide and recognizing the rights of Palestinians and other displaced and occupied peoples

• Are not only 'non-racist' but are actively anti-racist ...not only in personal relations but also - wherever possible - seeking out ways in which to dismantle or countermand structural and historical racism

• Actively resist all gender-based discrimination, as above

• Actively resist all class-based discrimination, as above 

• Actively resist all discrimination based around physical and/or mental variability, as above

Freedom of Movent is in the business of cultural production. 

We live in a capitalist society, which inevitably means that there are occasions in which our values & practices are in discord, dissonance or dissent - often in outright open conflict - with the values & practices of potential clients or of the marketplace. These can be subtle & nuanced, especially when working with or relying for services on corporations that invest in, provide or promote eg military technology or other human rights abuses, or suppress collective action. They can also be simple & straightforward however - we don't work with racists, TERFS or abusers. In all cases we take our due diligence seriously.
